Starting therapy can be an intimidating experience. Taking the first few steps into a therapy office takes a tremendous amount of bravery and courage that should not go unrecognized.
In my practice, I work to provide a space where strengths are acknowledged and encouraged to help clients ease anxiety as they begin to share their story. Helping people feel heard and validated can lead to powerful insight and change. I also work to help clients understand the sources of pain/distress in their lives and facilitate corrective emotional experiences so they can learn to let go of the pain and begin to live healthier, more enriching lives. Being able to let go and create more positive patterns and experiences can help individuals thrive and become the people they know and want to be.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been practicing since 2008. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma. I am also a board approved supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselor candidates. I have gained extensive experience working in a community mental health setting over the years.
